The Intention

Definitions

*** I have found no concise definition to the word, archetype.
Wikipedia says,
defining example of a personality type
the use of archetypes to analyze personality was advanced by
Carl Jung in the early 20th century

Answers.com says,
an orginial model of type after which other similar things are
patterned a prototype, Frankenstein, Dracula, Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde

In Jungian psychology an inherited pattern of thought or symbolic
imagery derived from the past collective experience and present in
the individual unconscious

In the land of archetypes exists two distinct types – often
referred to as the light and shadow (or dark) aspects of the
self. The shadow side is least known to the conscious mind. The
shadow has much to offer in understanding ourselves and balancing
the heart with the mind. When a balance is absent we begin to have
a conflict within. Our power becomes fragmented and we stay in a
battle of sorts, with ourselves. I feel it benefical to express
both sides through the use of journal writing and art work.
